A convoy for the Turkish-backed Zinki rebel group was entirely seized by Nusra militants after the latter gained group in west Aleppo infighting.

According to sources, the reinforcements were heading to west Aleppo when ambushed by the Syrian al-Qaeda militants somewhere on the road linking Deir Sama’an and Afrin region, thus forcing the Turkey-backed fighters to flee on foot to the nearby mountains.

This comes after Nusra expelled Zinki rebels from their stronghold in Darat izza (located 30 kilometers northwest of Aleppo)following fierce infighting between the two warring parties.

Nusra even controlled Deir Sama’an, another bastion for Zinki situated north of Darat Izza.
