In spite of political rivalry, the Syrian government and Kurdish militia continue to trade fuel, a monitoring group reported.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that tankers loaded with fuel were spotted heading from SDF-controlled areas toward the Syrian government-held areas.
This, according to SOHR, is being carried out almost on a daily basis.
Syrian Kurds control the northeastern part of Syria where most of the country’s oil fields are located.
Tankers loaded with fuel from the control areas of the Syrian Democratic Forces drive towards the areas controlled by the syrian goverment. Syrian Observatory confirm that they conduct daily oil and fuel transfers from East Euphrates to Syrian governorates.#SAA #SDF #Syria #YPG pic.twitter.com/1REKTb7rki
